Mission Garden & Field - Luke 10:2
Anyone and any church that is centered on the Gospel of Christ then receives Christ’s commission to extend that gospel to the time and location He has placed them. He has extended it as a joy and honor for us… done from the foundation of relationship with him, embraced and done together, and done with the people of our lives and those He will lead us to by His Spirit… our mission garden and mission farm.
God’s Family - I John 3:1
As we continue in our vision series, we look at how God calls us his children, and adopts us into his family. Not metaphorically “like” his family, but actually brought in. Through the work of Christ we are adopted in. And because of this, we are called to live in light of this reality, in purpose, proximity, and with permission.
The Gospel Crux - Titus 2:11-15
The good news of Jesus is both the foundation and summary of who God is and who we are in Christ and the purpose for our existence and redemption. Therefore, the gospel must be truly clear, believed and be the fully functioning priority in every aspect of our individual lives and church. What is a Christian and what is a church? Christians are people who have been transformed by God through the gospel of Christ to be “lovers of God” or, can equally be called those who now delight in God. And what is their connection? It is their shared Father who has placed each one into his family, which He calls the Church. Therefore, each local church is, at its root, God’s family and must be obviously that.
