Jesus is so full of authority and power that just the sight of Jesus makes demons flee to him, confess his divine authority and to beg for mercy. He now tells us that we too wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against satan and his forces and gives us specific attacks to watch out for as well as the tools of a Gospel centered life with which to fight to be strong in the Lord and the power of his might.

Christ claims to be sufficient for you in every and all areas of life. There is no foe, no fear nor any need where he is not the place where we confidently run.

As Jesus continues to describe the Kingdom through parables, he gives the picture of the kingdom as a seed. Much like the seed, the kingdom grows in ways that are certain but often unseen. And like the mustard seed, the kingdom of God will far exceed our expectations.

He will exponentially bless your heart’s love for and joy in his word as you walk in this.

Do You Have Ears To Hear? - Mark 4:1-20
Jesus uses parables to illustrate the Kingdom of God, but he emphasizes here the importance of hearing well. Those who have ears to hear will be the ones who truly understand. He then gives examples of four soils, each soil hearing and receiving the word in a different way.

The Family of the Father and Son - Mark 3:31-35
In the Gospel, there is a new center of your family… no longer blood or name… but a new Father who has a family of sons and daughters. And since we have a new Father… we really do have a new family definition.
